User Accounts

When you create a PiVolley account, we collect and store:

• Your name and email address — used to identify your account and send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• A hashed password — your password is never stored in plain text; we use PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations
• Your subscription plan (Starter, Coach, or Club)
• The IDs of teams you own or have joined

This data is stored securely on Cloudflare Workers KV infrastructure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of contract.

Transactional Emails

We send account-related emails (email verification, password reset) via Resend, Inc. from the address noreply@pivolley.com. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

App Data (Local Storage)

All tactical data — formations, positions, notes, arrows, zones, player rosters — is stored on your device using your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers unless you use the Team Sync feature.

Team Sync Data

When a coach creates a team and enables live sync, the team's tactical data (formations, positions, notes, roster) is stored on Cloudflare Workers infrastructure to allow members to follow live. This data:

• Is linked to your account ID (not publicly visible)
• Is overwritten on every sync — no history is retained
• Is accessible only to authenticated team members
• Is processed in the EU/EEA where available via Cloudflare

Contact Emails

If you contact us at support@piathletics.com, we process your email address and message content solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Payment Data (Paid Plans)

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe may process billing name, email address, and payment method. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

• No tracking cookies or advertising pixels
• No analytics or behavioural tracking
• No IP address logging by us (Cloudflare may log IPs per their policy)
• No location data
• No plain-text passwords
• No credit card numbers or banking details

• Art. 6(1)(b) — Performance of a contract: processing necessary to provide the paid subscription service
• Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interest: temporary team sync data to deliver the core live coaching feature
• Art. 6(1)(a) — Consent: where you have explicitly opted in (e.g. contact form)

Account data (name, email, hashed password, plan): retained until you request deletion of your account.

Local storage data: retained on your device until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.

Team sync data: overwritten with each coach sync. No historical records are maintained.

Email correspondence: retained for up to 2 years for support purposes.

Payment records: retained as required by Austrian tax law (7 years).

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Restriction — request restricted processing in certain circumstances

We may update this privacy policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of PiVolley after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
